Thanks to the experience acquired in over 45 years of activity in the field of coding and industrial traceability, BERMA produces highly, reliable and precise dotpeen marking systems.

The new 6 series of dotpeen marking machines use the direct part marking technology (DPM) that can be used on components of any material with surface hardness up to 62 HRC.

BERMA dotpeen marking machines are equipped with compact electronics offering a high storage capacity and several PC connection options (USB, RS-232, TCP / IP). The user interface is simple and intuitive: the programming of the marking can be done directly on the machine, without a PC, through the membrane keyboard and the integrated graphic display. Thanks to the complete IDENTIFY software, always included in the system, it is also possible to manage complex logos and graphics.

BERMA marking devices are set for the direct connection of a bar code reader (via RS-232) and are also equipped with several protocols, proprietary (bermaCMD) and standard (MODBUS), for the remote control of the marking system.

“DOT6” marking systems production line have a single stylus with electric drive and thanks to their versatility are used in the most of the applications.

"TOP6" marking systems are characterized by a sturdy mechanical construction that makes it possible to take full advantages of the pneumatic stylus, up to 6 mm in diameter, allowing the creation of very deep and resistant markings for subsequent painting or galvanizing.

BERMA marking machines can mark almost all geometries : marking on flat surfaces (example type plates), marking on round workpieces, radially or axially up to cone-shaped parts, and also marking on different levels of a workpiece can be designed any time.

How is working the dot peen marking?

These devices are CNC machines, programmable via computer or special electronics, where a single stylus (with pneumatic or electric drive) moved on two axes (XY), carries out very close micro-points, forming continuous or dotted lines (according to the parameters set by the user), so as to form letters, numbers or symbols which constitute the information to be shown on the object to be identified, deforming the contact area. The possibility of changing the actuating times of the stylus, enables a fully adjustable marking depth, according to the material and the application of the piece to be marked.

    Benchtop dot peen marking machines, made by BERMA, are today a benchmark in the industrial marking and tractability sector.

    These device are compact and reliable and this make its ideal for the user who needs to identify in a simple and indelible way.
    Depending on the size of the head, the benchtop dot peen markers are equipped with one or more columns support, which allows you to make an accurate height adjustment, manually using a screw or motorized in the "Z" versions.
    In every BERMA marking machine is possible to adjust the marking head height manually through a screw or automatically through a motorized optional device.
    TOP6 series benchtop marking systems have a sturdy mechanical construction, which makes it possible to take full advantage of the pneumatic stylus, up to 6 mm in diameter, that allows the achievement of very deep markings.

  • Integrable OEM marking systems

    Marking machines for integration are dot peen identification systems designed to be inserted in other machines, robotized islands, production lines and so on.

    The marking systems for integration made by BERMA are set for the direct connection via RS-232 or TCP/IP and are equipped several access protocol proprietary (bermaCMD) and standard (MODBUS) for the remote control of the marking system.
    The synchronization is guaranted by the 24VDC digital I/O on the specific connector.
    All the marking machines for integration made by BERMA are light and have small dimensions. The controller is separated and it can be installed in a easily accessible area.

  • Electrolytic Technology

    - economic and professional
    - permanent and high-contrast markings

    Electrolytic marking technology represents an economic and professional solution for high-contrast marking of all electroconductive materials (i. e. metals, aluminium...). Due to low investment costs, markings that are carried out with our marking devices are also extremely cost-effective. Moreover, the marking process allows abrasion-resistant, permanent and high-contrast markings to be accomplished. The electrolytic marking technology is employed in all industries and is excellently suited to the marking of highly sensitive parts (e.g. surgical instruments, implants and products for the food, aviation and automotive industries). Due to the combination of electricity and electrolyte, the image of the marking stencil is marked on the product by means of oxidation. The subsequent use of neutralyte prevents undesired corrosion.
